چکیده
در میان حروف الفبای عربی، همزه تنها آوایی است که به چهار شکل مختلف نوشته می‌شود:ء، أ، ؤ، ئ. این اشکال چهارگانة همزه، باعث شده که نویسندگان، به‌ویژه کسانی که به هر دو زبان عربی و فارسی می‌نویسند در هنگام نوشتن برای انتخاب شکل صحیح آن با مشکلات جدّی روبه‌رو شوند.
این مقاله به منظور دستیابی به اهداف زیر نگارش یافته است:
?ـ معرفی رسم‌الخط صحیح همزه در عربی و فارسی با استناد به کتاب‌های معتبر صرف و نحو و قواعد املایی عربی و فارسی و نیز با تکیه بر شیوة رایج نگارش آن توسط ادیبان و نویسندگان توانا؛
?ـ تدوین و تنظیم قواعد همزه به گونه‌ای که در عین جامع و کامل بودن فراگیری آن نیز آسان باشد؛
?ـ تبیین موارد اشتراک و اختلاف نگارش همزه در عربی و فارسی برای کسانی که به هر دو زبان می‌نویسند

From among the Arabic alphabet, hamza is the only vowel with four orthographic variations of (alone), (above a w?w), (above and under an ‘alif) and (above a dotless y?). Such an orthographic variation for hamza has caused spelling problems for writers mainly those who write in both Arabic and Persian.
The present article is to reach the following objectives:
1. Introducing the right orthography of hamza in the Arabic and Persian languages with reference to the authoritative books on the Arabic and Persian morphology and syntax together with rules of orthography which rely on the current orthographic methods employed by the competent writers;
2. Compiling hamza rules which are comprehensive yet easy to learn;
3. Clarifying the points of orthographic similarity and differences in the Arabic and Persian languages for those writing in both languages.
