Read More In cultural discourse, a caricature has a special role in contemporary world and specially in political and social issues it is preferable to written cultural. There is no doubt that the influence of visual displays and the inspiritual meanings of caricatures, is higher than the written and audience mysteries and concepts. The Palestinian case and the artists who have used their art and his moral obligation to show the pain of this nation, are manifest in caricatures of Naji Al- Ali, the Plestinian caricaturist. Naji Salim Hussain al-Ali was a Palestinian cartoonist, noted for the political criticism of "Israel" in his works. He born on 29 August 1987 in the Palestinian village of Ash Shajara and On 22 July 1987, al-Ali was shot in the neck and mortally wounded. Naji al-Ali died five weeks later in Charing Cross Hospital. Many people belive that the intelligence agency of Israel "moosad" killed Al Ali. Al Ali's cartoons were drawn from his experience as a Palestinian refugee since childhood and clearly reflected his political stance,which was often critical of the Arab regimes. He has been described as the greatest Palestinian cartoonist and probably the best-known cartoonist in the Arab world. He is perhaps best known as creator of the character Handala, pictured in his cartoons as a young witness of the satirized policy or event depicted,and who has since become an icon of Palestinian defiance. Handala has also been remarked that "He was the arrow of the compass, pointing steadily towards Palestine. Naji Al-Ali used only simple lines and traces to depict his ideas and thoughts onto paper. His works and thoughts were impressive and unusual.The intertexuallity is used in Ali’s cartoons structurally, in plan of cartoon or in one or a few words. He used another kind of technique by combining the plan and text. Al-Ali tried to use the nation’s acceptable themes that lead the viewers and readers to understand Palestinian pain and suffering. Naji Al- Ali used the historian, religious and folkoloric intertextuality and world calture and applied the contrast, surprise, question, satire and other techniques.

Read More There are various forms of literary exchanges in the world of literature, and there are few literatures that have developed in a closed circle without going beyond their borders. In this context, Arabic and Persian literature due to the geographical proximity and the prevalence of common customs compared to other nations have experienced greater cultural, literary, scientific and social exchanges. Sa’di, the renowned poet of 7th century, has been significantly influenced by Arabic literature. One of the poets whose works had fascinated Sa’di was Abolfath Basti, the poet of 4th century, who became famous during his lifetime for poems rich of wisdom and erudition. In this paper, which seeks to investigate the influence of Abolfath Busti on Sa’di, a descriptive-analytical method has been adopted to explore different aspects of this inspiration. The findings suggest that Busti’s poems, Sa’di’s travels to Eastern regions and his companionship of scholars who had incorporated Busti’s poems in their works, are some of the extra textual reasons that explain the impact of Busti on Sa’di. This influence is evident from an intertextual perspective in rhetorical and thematic strains of Sa’di’s poems. Extraterritorial factors related to historical issues suggest that the reputation of the Busti’s poetry and its dissemination in the eastern and western parts of the world on the one hand and numerous Sa'di’s trips to the east on the other hand reinforce the possibility of reading the works of Busti. Studies on the rhetorical levels of language used by both poets reveal rhetorical adaptations of Busti’s poetry at two levels of poetic images and proverbs in the poetry of Sa'di, but it does not mean that these adaptations are the outcome of pure imitation devoid of any ingenuity. As for thematic adaptation, it was concluded that a significant part of the wisdom shared in the world of these two poets come from common source, which is because both poets have been inspired by a shared source of beliefs. These poems reflect a variety of Islamic sources has been reflected. Accordingly, Sa'di's exploitation of Islamic wisdoms has created a set of shared themes between his poems and that of Basti, among which the following can be cited: thankfulness of God, instability of the world, philanthropy, respect for other people, patience and forbearance.

Read More Defamiliarization is considered as one of the manifestations of the modern linguistics that deals with removing the monotony and Defamiliarization from the standard language as well as methods of using language in literary works. Hence, it is considered a Defamiliarization of the speech from its usual pattern, which is crystallized in the composition and formulation of speech Which is subject to the principle of selection which creates different connotations It breaks through the law, where the first signifies the possibility of multiple meaning. Accordingly, not consider just a communication tool, rather, the poet is guided through his employment to the aesthetic and the extension of the significance of the poetic achievement to enter into the circle of creativity and novelty. The present paper is an attempt to analyze the indicative Defamiliarization and its manifestations and reflections in the poetry of the contemporary Jordanian poet, Ayman al-Atūm, who is one of the resistant poets against Zionist Regime. Applying this technique, the poet tries to pass the standard language and to leave it behind; the language that is disable from expressing his emotions and feelings which are mixed with his soul. Relying on the stylistic method, this study aims at analyzing this subject in the poetry of this contemporary Jordanian poet. Finally, the study came to this conclusion that the poet has used this technique within his poems to show his psychological suffering, poetical experience and emotions; accordingly, he has applied Defamiliarization as a strong tool to change meaning, highlighting the concepts, and getting released from the domination of language on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is used to rebel against standard language and the ruling political system his poetic text makes a special language different from the familiar language.The most important representations of indicative Defamiliarization in his poetry include metonymy, metaphor, simile and irony.
