Read More Speech act theory is one of the well-known theories in applied linguistics. By considering language in the context of human acts, it reveals what is left unsaid in the text and enables us to arrive at an interpretation of it. Based on this theory, one does not merely use words and sentences to communicate a meaning, but commits acts which are called speech acts. I saw Ramallah is an autobiographical novel by Mourid Barghouti, a Palestinian poet and writer. The events of the novel revolve around his return to Ramallah and Deir Ghassana after thirty years of exile to European and Arab countries. The article highlights and analyzes imperative-didactic speech acts of the novel in order to determine the author’s purpose in using them. The importance of the research is evident in the fact that the novel contains emotional speech acts contained in interrogative speech acts in order to express the plight of Palestinians and their resistance against the Zionists. The research argues that two kinds of interrogative speech acts are used in the novel: direct and indirect. The direct speech acts are used by the characters in order to acquire information. The indirect speech acts, however, are used by the writer in accordance with the societal circumstances to express his goals. They are mostly used to express denial, anger, scolding, ridicule, sadness, regret, and surprise upon seeing what has happened and is happening to Ramallah. This type of speech act is prevalent in the novel since it is the most effective in expressing the writer’s intentions and it highlights the communicative aspects of language, which are convincing, encouraging, and affecting the interlocutor. Thus, the writer uses indirect speech acts to reveal his psychological state, as he wants to influence the reader and stir the feelings of the Arab and Islamic nation so that they realize the issue of the Palestinian people and the right that is taken from them by the Zionists.

Feminist critics ask whether there is a female language or not? In this regard, Sarah Mills'''' feminist stylistics book offers a model for data analysis that explores the three levels of vocabulary, syntax, and discourse. And by referring to the works of linguists and researchers in the field of sociology of language as well as the views of feminists, he emphasizes the linguistic analysis of women''''s works and proposes the method of analyzing women''''s fictional works. This research uses analytical-descriptive method in the framework of Sarah Mills’ feminist stylistics theory to examine how the characteristics of feminism are manifested in the novel "Al-Aswad Yaliq Beck" written by Ahlam Mostaghani Algerian writer. Considering that Mills believes that female writers use different language options in the structure and content of their works in the field of female emotions and characteristics, which should be done in these three levels of analysis in language analysis. We intend to examine these characteristics in the selected novel and determine to what extent these components exist and whether the desired pattern has been followed or not. Also, based on this framework, we identify the cases that indicate the feminine writing style of the author of the novel and explore them sentence by sentence. The research findings indicate that the components of Ahlam Mostaghanami''''s female writing are evident in this selected work using the following: - In the lexical layer: Use of words belonging to the field of women has a low frequency, There is no feminine reliance, curses, or mild emotional words but there are taboo words. Limited to repeat certain colors such as black, white, red, gold, silver and purple. Among these, the most frequent is the adjective "black" - In the syntactic layer: The description of the events is given in detail and this component has a high frequency, Most sentences are short, consecutive and very high frequency. Question sentences in the form of monologue are widely used, Extralinguistic signs ellipsis (...) has the most frequent symptoms and the dash has a very low frequency. In the discourse layer: third person and the narrator has used the inner monologue. The main axis, action and dialogue of the novel refer to women, and feminist thoughts are the concerns of the author of the novel.

Read More The last years of the twentieth century were the end of a period in Arabic poetry where poets were using clear or mysterious symbols to express their views. Yet the new period in Arabic poetry, made it possible for a mainstream in Arabic poetry, and poets tends to resort to simplicity and avoiding symbolic language as they offer noticeable vision relevant to facts of life with reservation of humane poem. However, the current era paved the way an Arab poetry, namely simplicity and avoidance of the symbolic language of ambiguity, as poets provide a vision associated with life realities while preserving the humane message of poetry. On the other hand, the evolution of relationship between human consciousness on the one hand and between art and literature on the other has deepened the meanings inherent in literary works, where we feel an attempt to present meanings more simply than before. This relationship helps facilitate the introduction of this human consciousness first, while influencing the expansion of vision in the field of poetry at the same time; and also contributes to the development of literature and poetry. One example of this claim is contemporary Syrian poet Maram al-Masri’s poetry. Masri has a new and varied face in the meaning. Maram Al-Masri, a Syrian poet, is considered a poet who tries to enrich readers with life experience as a woman in her poems specifically in "Looking at You." So we can analyze these series as a feminist poetry also, we are going to analyze it in accordance with the views of the existentialist feminism for "Simone de Beauvoir”. The results show that the poet was able to express her Eastern and Western experiences utilizing easy language while maintaining the technical framework in a different space. Also poet tries to visualize these experiences in her poems. Expression of despair of active presence of women in society and life, the identity crisis, social concerns and search for the establishment of unity between itself and other is one of the main axes in the reflection of experience of the poet.
