Read More Literary semiotics is a new method of literary criticism that examines the role of linguistic signs in the creation of poetic themes and manifests its internal actions by exploring the secondary layers of the text and represents the main meaning and purpose of the poet. Pierce is one of the most famous semiotic theorists who, by presenting a three-dimensional model for the sign, created a great change in this science and provided the ground for criticizing the semantic structure of literary works. The concept of sign in this model arises from the relationship between its three components, namely representation, interpretation and subject. Signs in Pierce's theory consist of a chain of causes and effects that are governed by a kind of cause and effect relationship. The new poetry is completely different from the old one in terms of structure and content, and instead of explicitly expressing the themes of his poetry, the poet uses virtual language and linguistic symbols and indirectly expresses the purposes of his poetry. Suleiman Al-Issi is a famous Syrian poet and one of the poets of modernity whose most important and frequent subject of his poetry is patriotism due to his committed tendency towards the literature and thoughts of nationalism. Considering that Suleiman Al-Issi also uses covert and indirect language to express his literary messages and uses language signs, the present study based on Pierce's theory tries to analyze the signs related to the concept of homeland and to critique the role of secrets in the construction of signs. The concept of homeland in Al-Issi's poetry is not limited to his country, Syria, but includes the entire Arab world. From the results of the research, it can be pointed out that the signs of patriotism in the poems of Suleiman Al-Issi have been produced in the form of cryptographic structures of the creator of the work, aesthetics, space, time and intertextuality. Through the correct aArrangement of explicit meanings together and within the context of the text, he expresses the implicit meanings of the concept of homeland in imaginative language, thereby guiding the reader's mind from the surface of speech to the deepest layers of the text and by this, he has recited the secondary intentions behind words and the phrases of his poetry. Therefore, in this way, it gives sensory and tangible effects to abstract concepts. Hence, Al-Issi can be considered one of the best poets in the Arab world in using abstract concepts in an eloquent, effective and at the same time believable format that can impress any reader. He develops readers’ minds to feel the poetry more easily and sympathize with it.

It is an important element for the perception of reality through the its movement and works and emotions that penetrate the context of the novel and framed from the beginning to the last words and it must be the details of physical character and historical, cultural, ethnic and social characteristics that paint the general impression about the character to be included in the text of the novel; Because the novel aims at reflect human meanings. Thus, the present paper aims at review the semiotics of the characters in the novel "he Asked me to Dance" (Yutªlibuni Bi al-Raqsa al-Kªmila) by Kuwaiti novelist Munª Shᾱfei. the present research followed the descriptive analysis, and chosed the A.J. Greimas’s model for Semiotics of Characters in the novel, based on this model the characters (subject/ actor) have goals in novels, they also have incentives to achieve their goals, according to this the characters are driven by their motivating incentives toward their goal which is effect )object) and maybe these actors/subjects (characters) faced with assistance factors in reaching their goals. The novel is full of feelings and love. The novel "he Asked me to Dance" (Yutªlibuni Bi al-Raqsa al-Kªmila) is about female characters in families that a husband has multiple wives. This novel as a feminist novel investingtigates woman’s concerns and issues clearly, it considers women as the main subject to show her relationship with men and society. In the end, the article reached that Munª Shªfei gave the character of the novel a super importance and it’s visible, psychological and social dimensions have emerged clearly. In other words, The characters were presented through several methods in the novel "he Asked me to Dance" that including: reporting style and psychological and imaginative ways, Moreover, the names of the characters are are not arbitrary but chose by writer for narrative and certain reasons which deter the location of each character in the narrative text; each character has different subjective, replacement, virtual or aesthetical roles in the story.

Read More Arabic neo-poetry is known for breaking down the traditional structure of poetry and extending its semantic boundaries by equipping the literary discourses with narrative structures which enable the poet to show their creative imagination and aesthetic views towards objects. “Time” is one of the prominent elements of narration. Formerly, it manifested itself through the logical sequence of events, whereas nowadays narration time does not depend on this sequence and the narrator can change its structure through the interaction between different levels of time to avoid monotonousness. Muhammad Afifi Matar has paid special attention this in his poem “Uprooted Steps” in which, through forming a semantic bridge between present, past, and future events, we see a temporal overlap. This article seeks to analyze the element of time in this poem. It suggests that the poem has a fluid temporal structure so that inside time present, the past and the future are contained. In many cases, the poet does not narrate the events according to the order of their happening, but rather delays or even stops them. The functions of time in this poem are different, changeable, and intertwined depending on the context of the events. These events sometimes take a long time and sometimes happen in the blink of an eye to create a temporal overlap between the past, the future, and the present. Returning to the past in the context of the present sometimes depicts the unpleasant experiences of the past, and sometimes has epic and hopeful effects through the historical calling of non-narrative characters. The poem uses flashforwards from the beginning to highlight future events and to respond as early as possible to the reader’s curiosity about the future. The poet continously plays with the time of narration; to avoid monotonousness, he, with the aid of temporal paradoxes, fills the gaps in time past, informs the reader of future events before their happening, and sometimes interferes with the the passage of time.

He considers the products of the collective unconscious to be examples of archetypes, which appear in cases such as self, shadow, anima, animus, etc. Finds; The manifestation of the mental and psychological aspects of the characters of the play and the place of the inner unconscious in the play of Al-Harr al-Riyahi caused this article with the aim of analyzing the archetypes in this work based on Jung's theories and using the descriptive-analytical method with a new approach to this Ashurai work. to study The archetype of the self, the shadow, the feminine element (anima) and the use of different colors are among the archetypes in this play. Analyzing the play of Al-Harr al-Riyahi based on Jung's theory is one of the ways to penetrate and deeply understand the content of the play, and the knowledge of the unconscious of the characters of the play leads to the recognition of the hidden secrets and deep concepts of this type of works. Among the archetypes used in this play, we can mention the self and the shadow, and the contrast between two mental states in this play represents the contrast between these two archetypes. Har Riahi is a symbol of self-awareness and awakening (self), and Shammar bin Dhi al-Jawshan is a symbol of neglect and submission (shadow) to the self, that is, the opposition of good and evil, which has been the focus of many religions throughout the world. In this play, the archetype of color is also reflected in the characters of the play. The use of black color has been used to express certain concepts such as turbidity and hostility, which the archetype of the shadow is frequently involved with, and the color white evokes the concept of purity and innocence, which is observed in the expression of states related to the archetype of the self, and finally the color Red is an indescribable expression of eternal life and immortality, which finds its meaning in the pure blood of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
